The Brown Turkey Fig is perfect if you want a sweet fruit that you can pick off the tree and eat fresh. This cultivar is probably the most popular fig in the southeastern United States. The tree can produce two crops a year, with figs ripening in early summer and again in late summer months. The figs are medium sized and sweet with a brownish-purple skin and an amber pulp. Brown Turkey Fig trees are self-pollinating and are hardy in Zones 7-9. At maturity, it can reach a height and width between 15 ft. to 30 ft. The plant is shipped in a #5 pot with a minimum height of 24 in.
