Trex Protect Rim Tape is an 11 in. x 50 ft. self-adhesive butyl tape that covers the outer rim joist and fascia boards, an area that is commonly forgotten for water protection. The tape is designed to shield vertical surfaces, flat blocking, and stairs from moisture that can lead to rot and wood decay. Trex Protect works on horizontal and vertical surfaces and is applied as a cap (verses wrapping), which allows the wood to breathe. Trex Protect cannot be used with the Trex RainEscape Deck Drainage System.
