The Robinson crabapple is a deciduous tree whose crimson buds open to beautiful red-pink flowers in early spring. With its beautiful flowers and attractive form, the Robinson crabapple serves as a startling specimen tree. The tree has a medium growth rate and reaches a mature height of about 20 ft. to 25 ft. It is hardy to minus 15° (USDA Hardiness Zones 4-8). Because of its beautiful flowers, form, and its self-pollination, the Robinson serves as a particularly nice specimen tree.
