Oxalis triangularis (Purple Rain Shamrock Oxalis) Sun to Part Sun. Zone-7 to zone-10 or indoors. This unusual species of the popular Oxalis is composed of purple leaves with a magenta center. In late spring, the clumps are topped with light pink flowers. General Description: These non-invasive natives of South Africa and South America produce mostly 5 petaled flowers on 3, sometimes 4 leafed plants that make wonderful mounds in our garden from June-October. Theyre particularly wonderful in partial shade, but dont seem fussy about being in full sun even during our hot, humid summers. They also make excellent house plants.
