This is a multi use herb and has been throughout the ages. Useful as a hedge, in sachets, attracts butterflies, great for dry areas. the list keeps going. An evergreen, perennial shrub with gray green foliage and abundant, fragrant, purple flower spikes that attract butterflies. Useful as hedge or edging in herb garden. Flowers may be crushed and used in sachets. A superior plant for hot, dry slopes and banks. Rugged enough for rock gardens in warm climates where it is likely to naturalize.
